This Thursday and Friday (10th-11th October) the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies are hosting their annual symposium at the Rydges Southbank, Townsville. Researchers from the Conservation Planning Group, Bob, Glenn, Rebecca, and Jon will be among the 30 or so scientists, managers and policy makers presenting. The symposium is aimed at a general audience of scientists in related fields, natural resource managers, conservationists, and policy makers. public forum is also being held at Rydges Southbank, at 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start, on Thursday 10 October 2013. Hosted by Paul McDermott, this event is aimed at he general public, teachers and school children (older than about 10) as well as scientists, resource managers and policy-makers.
